Gordon B. Crary
Gordon B. Crary, born Los Angeles, California, December 12, 1947; admitted to bar, 1975, California; 1995, New Mexico. Preparatory education, Metropolitan State College of Denver (B.S. magna cum laude, 1971); legal education, Loyola University School of Law (J.D., 1975). Member: American Bar Association (Member: Section on Real Property, Subcommittee on Real Estate Foreclosures); Orange County Bar Association (Member: Section on Real Property). Lecturer, California Continuing Education of the Bar, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (Real Estate Finance and Brokerage).
Mr. Crary's practice concentrates on matters involving real estate, corporate and financial law. Mr. Crary began with the firm of Ball, Hunt, Hart, Brown & Baerwitz, where his practice was focused on environmental litigation and land use and development issues. Mr. Crary later became the Southern California Regional Counsel for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Co., Inc. In the early 1980s, Mr. Crary was asked to serve as the Senior Attorney for the Western Region of Northern Telecom, Inc. In that capacity, Mr. Crary opened and managed Northern Telecom's first corporate legal office on the West Coast. Mr. Crary also negotiated and documented numerous transactions involving both sales and leases of large telephone switching systems to both corporate and municipal customers. Mr. Crary has been involved in the banking and thrift industries since the mid-1980s when he represented the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in loan and other asset-based litigation matters.
